The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it really is alarmed regarding the significant number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support position created for intervention experiences a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot SRD more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
